Dealer Technical Support Specialist

Due to a recent promotion, we have an opportunity for a Dealer Technical Support Specialist at our St. Augustine, FL location. The position provides technical assistance, via telephone and written communications, to our Marine dealer network nationwide.
Specifically, this individual will provide prompt technical support, via Suzuki’s Techline, to Suzuki Marine technicians and dealers via telephone. Based on those calls, this person will create detailed Techline reports in our database, provide approved product repair recommendations, follow-up on recommendations, and close all Techline reports within 10 days of opening. This person is also responsible for shipping, tracking, and reporting on the effectiveness of countermeasure parts, testing and support of SDS software and diagnostic equipment, occasional travel with supplier engineers, assisting the SMAI legal department on special cases and assisting SMAI Customer Relations with special technical product questions.
Minimum five years’ experience as a technician at a dealership
Professional and polite telephone voice and effective communication skills
Strong analytical, reporting and organization skills
Strong technical writing skills
Basic to intermediate computer software skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access
Suzuki marine products technical knowledge
Three years’ service management experience at a dealer level
Access or other database familiarity
