Job Description

Provide purchasing support to Revlon Professional Sales, Marketing, and Education. Design and implement a sourcing strategy which facilitates the purchase of Sales, Marketing, and Education materials/supplies. Manage supplier partnerships, and negotiate the lowest possible pricing while consistently achieving Revlon mandated quality and customer service levels.

Core Responsibilities:  

  • Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and timing to support the Business Unit’s needs (Sales, Marketing, and Education)
  • Purchases (via PR or PO) both stock and non stock items to support Business Unit’s needs (Sales, Marketing, and Education)
  • Primary point of contact to provide updates on material deliveries to internal customers
  • Source and qualify new items from existing and potential new vendors
  • Develop cost savings initiatives through competitive bids and value analysis of materials. Negotiates within limitations and scope of authority
  • Integration with other functional groups; such as Marketing, Sales, Education, Package Engineering/ R&D and Quality Control. Assist to mediate quality issues with suppliers including managing the Credit/Debit database to insure recovery of all monies
  • Execute administrative tasks in support of the purchase plan and to ensure receipt and payment of materials as needed, inclusive of PO files, Samples, along with confirmations, and changes that may require price adjustment. Also enter receivers for all non-inventory services or items
  • Provide all information for new suppliers via a Workflow system to be uploaded into SAP by Accounts Payable that includes addresses, contacts, payment terms, ship from location with shipping terms, return to location
  • Manages new item set up for purchasing to ensure Master Data setup is accurate
  • Develop and execute improvements to departmental processes and procedures
  • Work with Marketing, Sales and Education of new item forecasting to align with potential purchasing minimums, and/or tier pricing needs to provide the lowest possible costs
  • Responsible for PPV and inventory levels of all items purchased. Follow up on SLOM and rejected inventory to facilitate decisions needed
  • Measure vendor performance on OTIF and Quality (Materials received vs. materials rejected) 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of purchasing principals, buying methods, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes
  • Basic knowledge of Sales and Marketing functions
  • Technical knowledge of assigned purchasing group items
  • Analytical skills with a high-level of attention to detail and business process

  • Strong skills in using word processing, spreadsheet, database, and related software applications to develop analytical data for review or reporting

  • Ability to work within SAP


  • Bachelors degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, or related degrees
  • 4-6 years of material sourcing or procurement experience, or preferred equivalent experience in trade analyst, supply chain, finance, or category management
  • Nondurable consumer goods manufacturing industry experience preferred  


CPM preferred

Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in an office environment with visits to distribution production facilities as needed.
