  SUMMARY 

 

  

 

Performs various maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the property. Handles service requests for repairs and improvements of vacant apartments to a market-ready status. Works as a team participant along with the maintenance staff to ensure the community meets the quality maintenance standards set by the Company.  

 

  

 

JOB DUTIES 

 

  

 

Ø Prepares or assists in preparing all vacant apartments to a market-ready condition. 

 

  

 

Ø Performs various property maintenance functions and records findings in maintenance log.  

 

  

 

Ø Responds to resident service requests and concerns in a timely manner. 

 

  

 

Ø Performs on-call emergency service as required. 

 

  

 

Ø Reports any maintenance concerns for repairs on vacant, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor. 

 

  

 

Ø May assist in monitoring and/or controlling maintenance inventory and/or supplies. 

 

  

 

Ø Moves heavy objects as requested. 

 

  

 

Ø Assists the Maintenance Supervisor on special maintenance projects, i.e., preventive maintenance of building components and/or mechanicals. 

 

  

 

Ø Assists in keeping the grounds and common areas free of trash and debris. 

 

  

 

Ø Works closely with management and maintenance staff in developing an integral team that effectively represents the quality and professionalism of the Company. 

 

  

 

Ø Maintains open communication with property management. 

 

  

 

Ø Represents the Company in a professional manner at all times, on or off the property. 

 

  

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: 

 

  

 

Ø Attends and participates in training as requested. 

 

  

 

Ø Delivers various communications to residents as needed. 

 

  

 

Ø Attends and assists in setting up for resident functions and activities. 

 

  

 

Ø Drives motorized vehicle on or off property for company business. 

 

  

 

Ø Performs other duties as assigned. 

 

  
  

 

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

 

  

 

Ø High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.  

 

  

 

Ø Trade school and/or military training a plus.  

 

  

 

Ø At least one year of hands-on general maintenance experience (i.e., plumbing, electrical, carpeting, painting, etc.) is required.  

 

  

 

Ø EPA certifiable status is preferred.

Ø May work non-traditional hours, including evenings or weekends in order to complete work or to attend meetings. 

 

  

 

Ø Must have a valid state issued driver’s license.
