Job Description

The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst Lead is responsible for the testing and certification of all application software designed and developed by LogistiCare Solutions, LLC. The primary duty is to test new applications or changes to existing applications to ensure they meet requirements and have no major defects or bugs using manual and automated testing. The analyst reviews and compares the application under test to the functional specifications to ensure all needed functionality was developed as expected. All bugs identified with test are reported to development. The Quality Assurance Analyst works with developers to resolve issues and re-create bugs as needed. After the developer has fixed any issues, the analyst does a final test to ensure no new issues were created.

The QA Analyst Lead will act as a project lead for testing assignments and provide knowledge transfer to QA Analyst I and II team members. They will be responsible for coordinating all QA team activities within the sprint cycle. They will provide input to the software as it is being designed.

The analysts will develop and implement a QA road map. The road map will identify tasks to increase the expertise of the team in a continuous integration/delivery environment. They will also make recommendations to adopt new technology as needed to keep the team up to date on the latest industry standards.

The QA Analyst Lead directs the development of manual and automated test for new software. The test cases and automated scripts are saved and updated in development repositories as described in procedures. The QA Analyst Lead will use the test cases to develop automated performance and regression tests. This requires that the analyst have a strong working knowledge of automated testing tools. This includes the understanding of automated frameworks and the maintenance of automated test.

The QA Analyst Lead must have effective writing skills. The QA Analyst Lead must update all applicable documentation concerning the project. This includes writing defect descriptions properly in the defect tracking system (JIRA) and creating test scripts. The analyst reviews user documentation developed by the group to ensure it is written properly and accurately reflects the software being released.

Specified Responsibilities
*Develop automated test scripts to utilize in validating software under test to be used in a continuous integration/delivery environment..
*Lead the testing efforts of software in accordance with defined test plans for validity of results, accuracy, reliability and specification conformance.
*Uses Confluence to maintain QA documentation and automated scripts.
*Tracks defects in JIRA.
*Recommends application and web site improvements or corrections to developers.
*Reviews software design and functional specifications.
*Assists with software documentation and user manual development.
*Creates and maintains test cases.
*Lead testing efforts and mentors QA Analyst I and II team members.

Preferred Skills and Certifications
*Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, procedures, and documentation.
*Experience in independently designing, planning, executing and reporting on requirements driven tests.
*Experienced in the use of defect tracking, configuration management, and automated testing tools.
*Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
*Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows platforms.
*Strong understanding of different browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome.
*Excellent time management, organization, and oral and written communication skills.
*Strong understanding of Confluence and JIRA.
*Extensive experience with using Visual Basic and/or JAVA scripting for use in test automation.
*Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases (DB2).
*Communicates effectively with others using the spoken word.
*Communicates in writing clearly and concisely.
*Responds to business needs while following company procedures.
*Works well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
*Uses effective time-management skills to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
*Comprehends complex technical topics and specialized information.

REQUIREMENTS

Education
*Bachelor's in Computer Science or similar technical degree.

Experience
*5+ years of industry experience.
*Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in software quality assurance methodologies.
*Strong working knowledge of automated testing frameworks.
*Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and design.
*Excellent time management, organization, and oral and written communication skills.
*Demonstrated self-starter, effective interpersonal skills.
*Ability to diagnose and resolve problems independently.
