FIS – Enterprise Product Organization (EPO) – Architecture Team

The Enterprise Product Organization (EPO) is the next generation product development sector of FIS.  FIS is largest financial services company in the world, comprised of more than 55,000 employees.  EPO is responsible for the continuous modernization of our most critical core banking systems, including core deposits and loan services.  These solutions provide innovative user experiences to customers through digital channels such as web, mobile, chat-bot, and kiosk.  The component-based architecture supports a diverse number of global deployments requiring deployment adaptability, functional configuration, and flexible integration.

The EPO Architecture team works with the Product organization to establish an aligned technology strategy to meet its business objectives.  Together we are with performing analysis to identify the appropriate technology strategy to meet our clients’ business operational needs in a way that is competitively sustainable.  This team is responsible for the establishment of technology direction, reference implementations, and transition planning.  Focus is weighted toward standardizing approaches to integration, cloud hosting, deployment flexibility, performance, and resiliency.

What you will be doing

You will be part of an architecture team focused on deployment and integration architecture concepts including cloud hosting, Event Sourcing, API modelling, and microservices architecture.  You will:

  • Be familiar with technology concepts in these areas
  • Collaborate with your immediate team, as well as architects across the enterprise
  • Establish reference implementations of solutions
  • Document standards and best practices
  • Help drive transitional planning to adopt the chosen direction

• Very good understanding of Capital Markets
• Strong Understanding of at least one financial asset class and its valuation, trade lifecycle, market and/or credit risk management.
• Have good analytical skills and have eye for detail

• Able to communicate effectively at all levels, using a range of communication styles, skills, and processes
• Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to work with multiple teams

Job Description

 What we are looking for:

Senior DevOps Engineer with at least 8 years of experience as Operational Engineer. The experience must include Build, Deployment, Linux Scripting, creating docker images, writing deployment scripts like Helm.

1)      Good understanding of CICD pipeline with tools like Jenkins – Must Have

2)      Git – Must have

3)      Bit Bucket – Must

4)      Container tools:  Docker – Must have , Kubernetes - preferred

5)      Container management: Openshift- must

6)      Build tools: Maven – must

7)      Scripting: Shell- must have

8)      Groovy scripting - preferred

9)      Application Servers: Jboss – must, WebSphere- preferred

Career level role. Develops and implements solutions that require analysis and research. Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments. Possesses knowledge in a specific business area. Works on one or more projects as a team member or occasionally as a project lead. May coach junior technical staff. Works under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment. May consult with senior peers on certain projects. Typically requires four or more years demonstrated experience in software testing.

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
